After 27 years of running a busy endoscopic procedural medical practice I realised there was many inefficiencies in the business model. Slow turn around times were one of them due to the manual nature of reporting.

Our practice struggled to identify any available affordable software that could meet our needs in writing reports based on standard templates, that could be modified if required and both printed in real-time as copies for patient and hospital as well as being emailed in an encrypted form to referring doctors and our billing centre.

The software had to be able to speak directly to our ever changing patient database, allow immediate editing, capture photos of pathology, track points of statistical significance (polypectomy and cancer detection rates for example) and allow report storage and instant recall.

After searching for an effective solution and not being able to locate one; I decided to make my own. That's when DocWriter Pro was born.
